No mattresses (call office for additional information), metal, appliances, household garbage (food items), electrical items, petroleum products, used oil, paint or tires. No gravel, concrete or cement blocks. No animal carcasses. Landfill requires metal to be handled separately. Do not fill can past the fill line. If can is overfilled, items will be removed at pickup location and left behind. For a complete listing of acceptable and prohibited items, visit N.C. Hazardous Waste Management Regulations
If prohibited items are placed in the can, STS Waste will incur a fine. If a fine is issued, rental deposit will not be refunded and will be used to pay the fine. If fine is greater than the deposit, you will be billed for the additional amount.
You are responsible for all items put into the container even if they are placed by someone else.
STS Waste is not responsible for any damage to driveways, cracks in concrete, landscapes, trees, grass, yards or any other damages resulting from the truck or container.
Container rental is for a period of 7 days. Additional days will be billed at the rate of $10.00 per day.
If the container needs to be dumped during the 7-day rental period and returned, a new rental fee will be charged. This is the same as having a new can delivered and will be charged accordingly. A new deposit fee is not required.
